The Awards and Recognition Program kicked off at the June 23 General Membership Meeting. Our association is planning a year full of activities to honor, recognize and reward our members for their years dedicated to the association, their excellence in building, and their commitment to our community. This year-long program is designed to highlight the best our association has to offer - and we hope all members will participate! To start, we hosted the new awards program at the June meeting. This award was presented to a Builder member who has perpetuated the mission and supported the priorities of the Builders Association of Central PA by operating in such a way as to: participate in civic/community service, promote trade education/professional development, practice innovation.

Associate of the Year - Crawford Drafting

BACP Pride Award – Wadlington Remodeling

This award was presented to the builder OR associate member who demonstrates their pride in membership by incorporating aspects of the Builders Association of Central PA into their daily businesses practices. For example, this member uses the BACP logo in marketing; advertises their membership in promotional pieces, business ads, banners, etc; links to the BACP web site from their company’s own site; attends membership activities and participates in BACP events; promotes the benefits of membership with subcontractors, business partners and peers; encourages non-members to join; takes advantage of various member resources available through BACP, NAHB & PBA; and makes it a point to do business with fellow BACP members.

This award was presented to the builder member who has completed a project within the previous calendar year that utilized the best practices outlined in the Builder’s Association of Central PA’s Contractor Quality Commitment Program, demonstrates innovation in business practices and attention to detail and exemplifies the type of product and or service that sets BACP members apart from non-members.

The Builders Association of Central Pennsylvania and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County present the 2009 Kevin Zimmerman Award. This is the 2nd part of an award dedicated to the memory of our friend and BACP past President Kevin Zimmerman. The award is given in recognition for service to both the Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity.
