|    The Builders Associationof Central PA presents the 2010 Central PA Home Show March 12-14 Bryce Jordan Center University Park, PA Celebrating 26 Years! coming soon to the 2010 Home Show... The BACP is already planning for next year's show and is building in another great promotional element for our visitors to enjoy!
Calling all Deck Builders!! Show off your skills at the 1st Annual Deck Building Contest Inspired by the International Remodeling Show in Baltimore, a new Deck Building Contest will be introduced at the Home Show next year. The contest will take place outside the main show entrance in the Mezzanine Level parking lot. The BACP is hoping to register 4-5 contestants into the competition. The contest will go on rain or shine. Each contestant will have approx. 20 x 30’ space within which to build their creations. Contestants are to furnish their own building materials, so talk to your suppliers to see what new products they’d like to show off!! For visibility, all contestants will be able to have one company truck, van, or job trailer parked near their building site the entire weekend. Finished products will be voted on by the Home Show visitors. Event Details: Building will begin Friday at 8:00 a.m. Crews work during Home Show hours and should complete their decks by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Decks are to remain in tact for visitors to judge until Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Upon completion of the judging and announcement of the winners, crews will begin tearing down their decks. Registration Requirements: Any BACP member can register to compete. All registrants must have an exhibit booth at the 2010 Home Show. A Deck Building Contest registration fee of $250 is required at the time of entry. Prizes: Contest winners will be recognized in Framework (the BACP’s monthly newsletter) at the following General Membership meetings and on www.centralpabuilders.com. Winners will also be awarded cash prizes based on number of entries. What better way to thank your crew for a job well done, than to send them home with a little extra cash in their pockets! Deck Building Contest
The Deck Building Contest will feature members of the Builders Association, showing their skills and talents, LIVE during the show. The decks will be built in front of the main show entrance, giving visitors the chance to see our members in action!
