    Envinity's Building Energy Solutions (BES) division is seeking a highly motivated Senior Commissioning Engineer to continue our success and growth in education and healthcare markets. This position has the opportunity to work remotely from our market areas in the Mid-Atlantic region.


    Envinity BES develops, designs, and manages energy retrofit projects and performs Retro­ Commissioning (RCx) and energy optimization projects for commercial and institutional clients. We provide our clients with objective oversight from project development through construction and commissioning. We serve our clients through the efforts of 4 distinct departments: Energy Analytics, MEP Engineering, Construction Management and Commissioning. Since 2005 Envinity BES has implemented a wide range of energy savings programs that include chiller plant optimization, controls upgrades, training, retro-commissioning, combined heat power and renewable energy systems.     The Senior Commissioning Engineer will join a dynamic group who focus primarily in the healthcare market.     Responsibilities Include

    • Plan, schedule and perform all responsibilities of the commissioning process, including commissioning team meetings, for mid to large projects
    • Write commissioning plans and field reports for commissioning projects
    • Develop commissioning methodologies, plans and tools in support of an evolving commissioning practice
    • Provide mentoring of junior level engineers
    • Provide support to retro-commissioning, energy master plan and design projects
    • Monitor HVAC systems with building automation systems and data loggers to troubleshoot operational problems
    • Develop/monetize facility improvement measures (FlMs) from information collected/observed
    • Interact with owners, architects, engineers and contractors
    • Manage multiple projects at once ensuring project completion within time and budget constraints
    • Actively pursue business opportunities and proposal development
    • Cultivate partnerships to grow the commissioning group

    Key Requirements

    • 5+ year commissioning related experience on healthcare, academic, or commercial projects
    • Professional certificate related to building commissioning required, ASHRAE BCxP preferred
    • PE or ability to obtain preferred
    • Experience using CxAlloy
    • Experience developing commissioning specifications and testing scripts
    • Working know ledge of commissioning process es and procedures
    • Keen understanding of HVAC and building automat ion system cause and effect interactions
    • Strong desire to be part of a team that is making a difference

    This position is not required to work from the State College, PA office, but must live within an approximately 3-hour drive from key client locations in the Mid-Atlantic Region (Pittsburgh, Delaware Valley, southern New Jersey, Baltimore).
