    The Seminar Series is presented by local industry professionals and is a great way to learn more while you attend the Home Show. And better yet, all the seminars are FREE with your admission to the Home Show! The Seminars will be presented on the Mezzanine Level in Room E.

    Friday, March 31st

    4:00 PM - Designing a Shade Garden for Your Maturing Landscape - Scott’s Landscaping Inc -  What to do when your garden matures into a shady oasis? Melissa brings expert knowledge and tips for shade gardeners with no other choice! But as it turns out, the shade garden provides ample opportunity to personalize and diversify your landscape. Presented By Melissa Cramer (Landscape Designer at Scott’s Landscaping) and assisted by Don Narber (Manager at Wheatfield Nursery)

    5:30 PM - Container Gardening for Your Patio - Wheatfield Nursery - From picking the right container, the right plants, and everything  in between we will show you how to create flower arrangements and grow edibles on your patio and deck. Presented By Don Narber (Manager at Wheatfield Nursery) and assisted by Melissa Cramer (Landscape Designer at Scott’s Landscaping)

    11:00 AM - Upgrading Your Home’s Heating and Cooling System - Stanley C. Bierly - Learn about different strategies for heating and cooling your home, find out what fuel is best for your needs, and discuss how features such as humidification, air filtration, and wifi connection can improve your HVAC system.

    12:30 PM - Mitsuibishi Heat Pumps - Goodco Mechanical -  Join Goodco Mechanical and Mitsubishi Electric to learn about ductless heat pump technology in existing and new homes. If you’re looking to eliminate expensive oil and electric heat while adding the ability to provide individual room zoning control and adding air conditioning, this is the seminar for you.

    2:00 PM - From Our Forest to Your Floor  - Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring  - The Hickman Family started a sawmill in the 1930s. We have complete control of the manufacturing process from managing the forest to cutting & drying the lumber to manufacturing the floor. Learn how we manage the forest in a sustainable manner, under FSC guildelines, as well as cut our specialty cuts- Rift & Quarter Sawn and Live Sawn. You'll also learn how these cuts created a better, more stable floor for your home.

    3:30 PM - Choosing the Right Floor for Your Project - America’s Carpet Outlet - A quick overview of various flooring products including uses, applications and features.                

    5:00 PM - Residential HVAC Commissioning- What is it and Why do it? - Envinity - In this session, attendees will learn how to ensure that heating and cooling equipment will operate at optimum efficiency for as long as possible, while delivering ideal occupant comfort to the home. This necessary post-installation step goes beyond factory settings and will teach attendees the importance and basic how to's of dialing in high efficiency furnaces, boilers and heat pumps.            

    6:30 PM - Fashion in Flooring - Mannington Mills  - Exploring the current trends in home and fashion and how a home owner can use their flooring choices to make a style statement and still have a fantastic value in their flooring purchase.
